What albums ARE rocking these days?

Someone asked me today to recommend them a good album. He asked what I'm listening to these days. I thought really hard...and was stuck with 'Er...'. All I could spit out was, "Neon Trees?" But by then, I'm quite sure he deemed my answer as a pathetic one and the recommendation might as well have fallen on deaf ears. lol.

But seriously, Neon Trees' debut album IS decent. (Out of the other albums that have come my way and which I've reviewed so far on a steady basis on a music blog.)

But we were looking for a singer-songwriter, and I didn't want to recommend him to a female's works. They are mostly all personal to me, you know? I am not inclined to share my intimate favourites. Then another person said, "Bruno Mars la. He's so hot now mah" -_- I am not for people who sing of mushy light-hearted stuff.

But seriously, are all the singer-songwriters on hiatus right now? Maybe I should check out Avril's latest LP? Heard she's gone back to her roots (of emo-pop?) :D

Anyone else has any accessibly recent, decent album to recommend? It HAS been a long time since I've listened to a whole album-ful of acoustic material AND which I dig. I've only been replaying my old Ingrid albums. But album 'attachments' do have a shelf life too right? :D
